Fenwood Farm is a family-owned farm located in Ancaster, Ontario. The farm is operated by John and Carol Fennema and their family. They have been raising poultry and other products for many years with a strong emphasis on quality and animal welfare
What They Do
Fenwood specializes in raising organic chicken and turkey that are fed a nutritious, organic grain blend. Their poultry are raised without antibiotics, growth promoters, or animal by-products. The chickens have access to fresh air and outdoor space, combining good animal welfare with natural growth. Their poultry is air chilled (instead of water chilled), which helps preserve natural flavour and texture in the meat. They operate a farm shop on their property where customers can purchase meats, eggs, and sometimes other local goods. They also participate in community events and engage with local food culture.
